The evolving role of the modern CFO
The job has quietly changed shape: less time personally approving every decision, more time building the guardrails that let VPs and directors make calls without waiting on you, and knowing the difference between real empowerment and just losing visibility. This keynote sets up the day: where CFOs are actually spending their attention now, what they've deliberately stopped owning, and how they know delegation is working rather than quietly creating risk. Key takeaways: - What CFOs have deliberately stopped personally approving, and the guardrails that made that possible. - How to tell the difference between real delegation and just losing visibility. - Where the job is heading next: what CFOs are picking up that wasn't part of the role five years ago.
