Thought process Lizveth Mendez-Witt is Chief Financial Officer at New Moms, a Chicago-based nonprofit supporting young moms and their children, a role she has held since April 2020. In 2025, she was named a Not-for-Profit Company Finalist for FEI's CFO of the Year Award. Lizveth brings more than 20 years of experience across government, nonprofit, and private sector roles, spanning strategic planning, finance, coalition building, advocacy, policy, and legislation. Before joining New Moms, she served as Operations & Strategy Officer at Tierra Luna Engineering, and held senior roles within Cook County Government, including Deputy Bureau Chief of the Bureau of Asset Management and Deputy Chief Administrative Officer. Earlier, she spent over 10 years in Government & Community Relations at the Illinois Attorney General's Office. She holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business.
